48th Annual ARSC Conference (Chapel Hill, North Carolina on May 14-17, 2014)
PLEASE NOTE: Our room block at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel is essentially sold-out, though there may be single rooms available for non-peak nights. We have arranged for overflow rooms at the Quality Inn Chapel Hill, located at 1740 North Fordham Blvd., just two blocks from the Sheraton.
Hotel Information
The 2014 ARSC conference will be held at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel, just minutes from downtown and the University of North Carolina, and within close proximity of Duke University and the Research Triangle Park. The hotel is located four miles from the center of downtown Chapel Hill and is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.
The Sheraton Chapel Hill offers numerous amenities, including a large seasonal outdoor swimming pool and sun deck, complimentary on-site parking and wifi, and pet-friendly hotel accommodations. The hotel also offers a complimentary local shuttle to and from downtown Chapel Hill and the UNC campus.
The Sheraton is a smoke-free hotel. Every guest room is equipped with Sheraton Sweet Sleeper TM beds, a coffeemaker and Starbucks coffee, hairdryers, iron/ironing board, and refrigerators. Select rooms offer a microwave and balconies (you may request these when making a reservation, but they are subject to availability). Carolina 1663, the onsite restaurant, offers a fresh, modern approach to classic Southern dishes relying on Farm to Table procurement.
Our contracted dates at the Sheraton Chapel Hill are Tuesday May 13 – Saturday May 17, 2014 (with check out on Sunday May 18). ARSC group rates will be honored 1 day prior and 3 days after these dates, subject to availability. If you wish to reserve rooms outside of the Tues.-Sat. room block you will need to make your reservation by telephone. Please note: the hotel is sold out the weekend of May 10-11, 2014 due to graduation.

The ARSC discounted rate is listed below. Since ARSC must fulfill the requirements of its contract with the hotel, please do not make reservations outside of the ARSC room block.
- $124 Standard Room, 1 King or 2 Double beds (plus tax, currently 13.50%).
- $144 Club Level Room, includes breakfast and evening appetizers (Club Level rooms may only be reserved by calling the reservation line)
The deadline to make reservations at the discounted rate is Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Reservations made after this date will be reserved only on a space available basis at the prevailing rate.
